Action Taken For Chemical Contamination

Chemical Storage Illustration  Irritating to eyes First check the victim for con act lenses and remove if present. Flush victim’s with water or normal saline solution for 20 to 30 minutes while simultaneously calling a hospital. Do not put any ointment, oil or medication in the victim’s eyes without specific instruction from a physician. IMMEDIATELY  transport the victim’s after flushing eyes to a hosp al even if no symptoms ( such as redness or irritation ) develop. Skin Contact Dry – wipe the skin Wash the area that is contaminated with a hand sanitizer with a little water, then wash with soap and water Removed contaminated clothing. Launder clothing before reuse. Discard shoes if  material has penetrated to inside surface . If symptoms such as redness or irritation develop, IMMED ATELY call a physician and be prepared to transport the victim to a hospital for treatment  Inhalation IMMEDIATELY
